How They Met: In the office break room, when they both worked at Lockheed Martin. “Chris’ first words to me were ‘How do you drink that stuff?,’ referring to the instant coffee. I found myself drinking much more coffee once I saw he frequented the break room!”

First Impressions: “He had a nice big office with a window. I thought he must be important!” “She’s beautiful, she’s funny, she has great hair, and she’s young!”

First Date: Pizza at Arlington’s Liberty Tavern.

How he Proposed: After she received an alumni award at George Mason, “he took a detour to the lake in front of campus and proposed. Afterwards, we went home and had a barbecue.” “She thought I was kidding,”Chris says.

Stupidest Fight: Over golf. “It gets a bit competitive,” Amanda says.
